My music is about the rapidly changing world around us. Technology, the climate and unprecedented movement of people around the globe are transforming society and who we are as individuals. In some ways, our day to day existence has become easier, faster and more convenient. At the same time, it has also left us dizzy in confusion, frustration...and yes, sadly enough, hatred of our fellow man. My songs are about this changing world. They are meant to get us thinking, but also to get us smiling about just how silly we let ourselves become when the floor has shifted beneath our feet. My approach is cynical, but my intent is pure - through the lens of lite-hearted humor, we can rise above the hatred and confusion and "get back to getting to a better place" .

The thriving gym industry is more than happy to take us on as we spend thousands on trainers, classes, machines, routines and plans....all generally to no avail, This song takes you on a tour of my own unsuccessful journey to lose 50 pounds by summer.

Although good ole Mark Zuckerberg is taking the fall for this one in the title, it's really about all of the characters who are profiting on our data daily - Sergei B (Google). Jeffrey B (Amazon), Vladdy P (Russia). This one also features my two amazingly talented boys - Sammy and Michael on the sax, though Michael is currently in the States, so could only help with the recording and not the video.

The title says it all. This song talks to the daily deluge of stimuli that we attempt to process in a simultaneous fashion. We are like "information addicts Jonesin for more stuff", ever hungry for more input. The big question is if all this access has made us better off....or might we find greater contentment by putting down the gadgets and getting back to "looking people in the eye"

Shot during our first ever November snow, Cook Out is all about the the rapidly spreading disease of climate change denial. At a time when the scientific consensus is 99% universal, some leaders still prefer to deny reality and push responsibility to the next generation.

Few words required for this one. The title says it all...and sadly, as mid-term elections loom, the situation is not getting any better. This song is largely sarcastic, but it ends on a ray of hope that explores who we truly are....."out of many we are one...we are so much better than what we have become". I sincerely hope that if anything come out of our current divide is a yearning to get ourselves back on the path to a truly "United State" of respect, tolerance and celebration of the differences that make us great.
